This Week We Covet Whitney Port's Wardrobe

As a women in my 30s I'm not sure if I'm meant to covet wardrobes of girls in their early 20s, or watch The Hills for that matter. But I do! I love the shenanigans of Lauren, Whitney and Co. and am strangely drawn to  the fiasco that is Spencer/Heidi. I love Lauren's style but she sometimes plays it safe, whereas Whitney Port knows how to mix it up, designer with thrift and gorgeous vintage dresses. So this week here are some of my favourite Whitney looks and I look foward to watching her style evolve in New York in The City.

This Week We Covet Alexa Chung's Wardrobe

Every now and then a girl comes along who rocks the fashion world with their style and charm. Someone who keeps popping up in every best dressed list at the moment is Brit Alexa Chung, model, television presenter and all round fashionista . Her laid back and quirky style is being imitated around the world, with her London street chic style in every fashion magazine you open. So this week she's been named the girl who's wardrobe we want.

The Perfect Dress

We had the most beautiful dress arrive in the store yesterday. It is the actual dress Megan Gale wore to the 2007 Logies, designed by Alex Perry. It is absolutely stunning and features the most divine bead work. If you would like any details about this piece please contact us at and stay tuned for some more images of the actual dress.

Oscar Fashion

I love settling down on Oscar night to watch the red carpet and picking the best and worst dressed of the night. Two ladies who always topped the best dressed list  were Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn, both with their classic understated style.

Miu Miu Sparkles

Yesterday afternoon I spent a fabulous couple of hours in the wardrobe of one of our private collectors.  Her collection is vast and I was in awe of the range of stunning dresses she has collected over the years including a beatuiful vintage beaded ivory Christian Dior dress (I promise to post images soon!).  Everything she has made available for our store is in immaculate condition, many pieces still with tags.  Luckily for us she was willing to part with these adorable recent season sparkly Size 37 Miu Miu shoes. Next week I will be posting on the exclusive range of Missoni from her collection.  If you are interested in purchasing these shoes or would like more pictures or information please contact

Shopping in Style

Imagine going shopping and having your own personal assistant to help you to your car. What amazing service! This image is taken from Collins St, Melbourne circa 1950s when shopping seemed a whole lot more glamorous.
